Response time from the uptime check

Each successful check stores how long the site took to answer. The performance page charts the average and shows the 95th percentile. Minutes with no sample are left blank. The panels are examples of the report layout. They are not a live customer account.

What this measure is

The number is the time our server waited for the registered URL. It is not the visitor’s Largest Contentful Paint, interaction delay, or layout shift. Those browser timings are not collected.

Use case. After a hosting change, the average response drops from about 800 ms to about 240 ms on the same chart.

Limits

  • A failed check does not add a response-time sample.
  • Bounce rate and visit duration on the same page come from the tracking script, not from the uptime check.
