Know when the site stops answering

Uptime is a request from our server. It does not depend on a visitor loading the tracking script. A down site cannot report itself. The panels are examples of the report layout. They are not a live customer account.

How a check is counted

The check runs about every five minutes. An answer below HTTP 400 counts as up. An incident opens when the check fails and closes when the site recovers. The uptime page lists the open and recent incidents.

Use case. After a hosting move, the incident row shows when the site stopped answering and when it recovered.

Limits

  • This is one check of the registered URL, not a check from several countries.
  • There is no public status page for your customers in this release.
  • The visitor script and the uptime check are separate. Installing the script does not start the uptime check, and the check does not create page views.
