Traffic and monitoring, with a visitor id

Plausible is known for a simple, cookie-free traffic dashboard. WebTrackNext is a different choice: it keeps a per-site visitor id in local storage, and it adds server checks for uptime, certificates, and response time. The panels are examples of the report layout. They are not a live customer account.

Where the products differ

Both can show pages, sources, and countries. WebTrackNext also probes the registered URL over HTTPS about every five minutes. It stores certificate days left, the issuer, and response time. It does not claim to avoid visitor identifiers. The id is hashed with a salt for that site, and the raw IP address is not stored.

Use case. A team that wants the live visitor list and a certificate warning in the same login uses WebTrackNext for both, instead of a traffic tool plus a separate monitor.

Limits

  • If you need a product with no visitor identifier in the browser, WebTrackNext is the wrong fit.
  • Goals, funnels, and revenue are not included.
  • This page is not a claim about Plausible’s current price or feature list.
